Medical Research Application
We focus our development efforts of tracking eyes and facial features to provide physicians and medical professionals with objective data for the advancements of medical research.
In the fields of ophthalmology, psychology, and human factors, adding the ability to gather measurable and trackable data of patients progressing thru treatments and check ups will greatly capture changes that normally would be difficult to track by observations as standard diagnosis practices.
The ability to track multiple points on the face, eye lids, and eyes in 3-dimensional such as:
> pupils and eye lids (document reaction to stimuli),
> facial reactions (comparison pre and post prescriptions),
> bright and dark pupils,
> point on screen gaze tracking for both eyes independently
+ PLUS continuous gaze tracking even with onscreen interactions and touch events.
FaceX's devices really opens up new opportunities of what can be tracked for research studies and can be enhanced to provide more indicating data.
By integrating compact form factor with embedded tracking system, cameras and IR wrapped around a display it allows continuous uninterrupted 3D tracking with user interact with applications on the screen while holding the device.
Dr. Randy Kardon as one of FaceX founding members, his knowledge and expertise in the ophthalmology research field, FaceX 3D facial feature tracking systems are design to be a highly flexible in deployment using multiple cameras and IR placed strategically according to studies being conducted.
The display tracking system is sufficiently robust to provide live tracking and data recording by only utilizing a laptop to maintain portability and mobility.
Our Team has extensive field experience in clinical and industrial application which guided our designs focused on real world research applications.
